Luz Maria Vergara

Founder & CEO

Luz is a visionary leader with over 25 years of hands-on experience in financial services including insurance, banking and investments for fortune 500 companies. Her expertise is in creating and implementing strategies for underserved customers. Her professional success is in part shaped by her personal experience as a daughter of immigrants and her unwavering dedication to helping people reach financial empowerment. Her professional and personal experiences has contributed to the successful implementation of numerous impactful programs and initiatives. She holds a bachelor's degree in international relations and an MBA.

Lyubomira Buresch 

Senior Advisor and Data Specialist 

Lyuba is known for her critical thinking and turning information into actionable insights. She started her career as an intern with KPMG in Eastern Europe, where she was part of a team working on privatizing state-owned assets where her role was to distill complex financial and other data into a clear story for investors. Lyuba has spent most of her career in housing finance driving innovation, championing data transparency, and building tools for mortgage sales leaders. As a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) and data scientist, Lyuba has launched analytical products that has educated over 1600 young professionals in Data and AI in housing finance, and put in place processes that redefine how lenders use their own data to drive competitive solutions.

Maria Fernanda Trochimezuk

Senior Advisor and Public Relations Specialist 

María Fernanda specializes in branding, media relations, corporate partnerships and marketing. Prior to consulting, she held senior positions in public relations agencies such as Hill & Knowlton and The Rogers Group, where she implemented public relations campaigns for Kellogg, Bandai America Inc, First 5 California, Mattel, Pfizer, Reebok, Sony, and WellPoint. She has been a company spokesperson for diversity, philanthropy and Hispanic marketing campaigns, having appeared on CNN, Univision, Telemundo, diversityinc.com, and a variety of multicultural conferences.  A native of Argentina, María Fernanda graduated from Universidad del Salvador, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations. Maria Fernanda received several awards from organizations such as Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA) and Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for leading groundbreaking campaigns.

Sofia Zywiciel

Senior Advisor Neighborhood Sustainability 

Sofia is a historical preservation professional committed to protecting, interpreting, and revitalizing the landscapes that shape community identity. With a deep appreciation for architectural heritage and the stories embedded within historic spaces, she works to ensure that significant sites are thoughtfully conserved for future generations. Her work bridges research, community engagement, and hands‑on preservation practice.  She is a graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and has collaborated with local organizations, preservation commissions, and cultural institutions to document historic structures, support restoration initiatives, and promote public awareness of preservation’s value. Whether surveying historic districts, developing preservation plans, or advocating for policy that safeguards cultural resources, she brings a meticulous eye, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for connecting people to place. Her mission is simple: to honor the past while empowering communities to build a more informed and inspired future.
